Adding a Custom Domain

Serve short links from your own domain, such as go.yourbrand.com, instead of short10.app.

Before you start

• You need the Pro plan or higher.
• You need access to the DNS settings of the domain (at your registrar or DNS host).
• Decide on a subdomain such as go.yourbrand.com or link.yourbrand.com. Subdomains are the simplest; an apex domain (yourbrand.link) also works using an A record.

Step by step

1. Go to Dashboard → Domains and click Add.
2. Enter the domain or subdomain and save. The setup page shows the DNS record you need.
3. At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record for the subdomain pointing to connect.short10.app. For an apex domain, create an A record pointing to the IP address shown on the setup page.
4. If your DNS is on Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud). Do not proxy it — a proxied record cannot be verified and SSL will not be issued.
5. Back in Short10, click Check DNS. The status changes from pending to active once the record is visible.
6. An SSL certificate is provisioned automatically after verification. This can take up to an hour.

Using the domain

When creating a link, pick your domain from the domain selector. Custom aliases are unique per domain, so go.yourbrand.com/sale can exist even if short10.app/sale is taken. Existing links stay on the domain they were created with.
